| In 2002, TWEA was formed as a non-profit organization to aid local youth and youth-oriented groups, and to date it has donated thousands of dollars to the Special Olympics, California Highway Patrol Explorers, Future Farmers of America, the Boy Scouts of America and many others. Virtually every penny we make from our generous sponsors, from our events and from fund raising goes back into the community, either as direct donations or as family-type equestrian events. Cowboy Challenge. Play Days. Trail Rides. Ranch Sorting. Our events are open to all ages and any level of ability. | Youth Center in Tehachapi. The Open Door Youth Center gives kids a place to go after school. “We have sort of a boys and girls club atmosphere,” said Lomonaco, one of the center’s founders. “We provide a place for kids to go after school so they can stay out of trouble.” The center offers games and other activities for kids ages 12-18. It’s open any day school is open from 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Since it was founded eight years ago, TWEA has donated nearly $20,000 to Tehachapi- area childrens' charities and, with your help, will continue to do so. If you would like to help TWEA help others, please visit our Contact Us page. We're always looking for volunteers or donations so we can continue to run our equestrian events in the area. |
