| In 2002, TWEA was formed as a non-profit organization to aid local youth and youth-oriented groups, and to date it has donated thousands of dollars to the Special Olympics, California Highway Patrol Explorers, Future Farmers of America, the Boy Scouts of America and many others. Virtually every penny we make from our generous sponsors, from our events and from fund raising goes back into the community, either as direct donations or as family-type equestrian events. Cowboy Challenge. Play Days. Trail Rides. Ranch Sorting. Our events are open to all ages and any level of ability. | PONY UP -- Six-year-old Claire Fitzgerald wins the junior division as TWEA held its first "Cowboy Trail Challenge" at John Storr's Pony Shoe Ranch on Woodford-Tehachapi Road. Claire rode her horse Rocket to the impressive victory, occasionally led by her mother, Linda Fitzgerald. The field for the event included both riders and drivers and also was TWEA's first afternoon event of the season. |
